ONE KNOWN FACT ABOUT FNAF: THEIR FANBASE AND COMMUNITY IS 100% TRASH
What I wanna know is what do you think about the games themselves.
The reasoning behind me starting this thread is the new game, FNAF World. So far the game has been beautiful, enjoyable, entertaining, and generally well composed. I loved the game, and simply because I ignored the fact that it is an FNAF game. People went into this game with hate on their hands and then left with negative reviews for the game, when really it's a fast paced RTS strategy game.
HERE ARE MY REVIEWS OF THE GAMES BASED ENTIRELY ON THE GAME ITSELF, NOT THE FAN BASE
FNAF 1 - 73/100
Could use polishing of course, and the game offers maybe five hours of gameplay, but has a rich backstory and an element of mystery not present in many games.
FNAF 2 - 61/100
The game was a lot like the original, and had better mechanics, but lost the simplicity and mystery the original game had, with the entire backstory coming from hidden notes and numbers, rather than being presented straight towards you. It lost the charm the first game had.
FNAF 3 - 78/100
Gameplay wise the best of the three, and actually brings back the mysterious climate. It has a hidden, yet presented backstory and ties in well with the other games. It makes fun of potheads, which is a plus, but the game itself is short lived, and didn't live up to it's potential.
FNAF 4 - 77/100
Wonderful game, moving to the next level with mechanics and gameplay. The game has the stereotypical problems for a FNAF game, limited appeal, short lived, etc. It does however create a rich finale to the game, and is the first one that actually required "skill"
FNAF 4: HALLOWEEN EDITION - 73/100
This game was advertised as what it was, a non cannon add on to FNAF 4 that was built to scare the shit out your asshole, and that's what it did. It added to a mildly small game already but still is beautiful in it's own, taking on a more minigame feel.
FNAF WORLD - 91/100
91... That's a high score. Let me get one thing straight, once you get past the fact that this is a FNAF game it is something new. It is a lot like Fuckboy's, but has a combat system I know I have never seen before. It's fast paced, well built, and while I wish there were more options for attack routine, my only two complaints about this game were length, and load time. Otherwise it was a well written masterpiece of an RPG with decent music hiding underneath the hideous shell of it's often trashed predecessors.
So there you go. I like the franchise.
